I started off my musical life with piano lessons at age 5. I practiced daily for years until high school, where my passion for singing was ignited. I sang some cabaret music, took a few lessons from an opera singer, sang in choir and was hooked. I received my Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University in Bloomington and my Master’s in Voice Performance from the University of Texas where I started singing early music, focusing on Baroque and late Renaissance works.
In Austin and the surrounding area I have sung with the Austin Opera, Texas Early Music Project, the Gilbert & Sullivan Society and the Bastrop Opera House, among others. In 2000 I co-founded an early music group called Diablerie that focused on producing and performing Baroque music with the many talented women musicians in Austin.
